He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kocer and Sylvia Kocer (Hladky); and his brother Lawerance Kocer. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Byrne (Trent Byrne), Melanie Radant (Ryan Radant) and James Kocer; and his grandchildren, Tyler Byrne (Sage Gabriel), Jade Byrne, Kaylee Byrne, Addison Byrne, Shauna Radant and Logan Radant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Knights of Columbus through Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
