Julie touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Julie’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her parents, S. Douglas Murphy and Alice Murphy (Flagel). She is survived by: her husband Jim Davis; and her children, Jeff Davis (Paula) of Brookings, Jack Davis (Bernie) of Woonsocket, Jodi Davis (Greg Schmid) of Saginaw and Jonathan Davis (Jennifer) of Annapolis, Maryland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was a longtime member of the Sanborn County American Cancer Society, helped organize the fifth and sixth grade basketball tournament fundraisers, and volunteered with the annual Tour of Homes.
