With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard Olson of Yankton, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Olson and Faye Olson (Howard); his son Joe Olson; and his siblings, Shirley Wolters, Beverly Simmons, Darlene Phillips, Wayne Olson and Glen Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Judi Olson (Lane); his daughters, Cindy Olson and Judy Shiota (Van) of Lodi, CA; his grandchildren, Shawna, Chelsea, Joshua, Joe Jr., Karen Rose, Jeremy and Jacob; his stepdaughters, Lyn Heggestad and Teresa Ewing (Corey); and his stepgrandchildren, Curt Knapp (Kaylee), Carter Ewing and Sondra Riggle (Jordan). He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home – Yankton (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078).
