David C. Krohn Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David C. Krohn of Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David C. Krohn to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Krohn and Wilma Krohn (Scheer); his adoptive parent Justice Evans; his daughter-in-law Natalie Krohn (Forch); and his brother-in-law Gerald Rathjen.
He is survived by: his wife Janice "Janie" Luckey of Yankton; his sons, Douglas Krohn (Kimberly Thompson) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jeffrey Krohn (Jessica DeKruyf) of Sioux City, Iowa and Zach Krohn (Rachel Woolsey) of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Peter, Sarah, Colette, Lauren, Olivia, Elyn, Henrick, Ava, Isaac and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Saylor and Holland; his sister JoAnn Rathjen of Rosedale, California; his in-laws, Carolyn Casper (Grant), Gerald Luckey (Bonnie), Lois Kelly (Bob), Bill Luckey (Nancy) and David Luckey (Brenda); and also, Imani and Ariah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1009 Jackson St, Yankton, SD 57078).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or given to the family to be donated to his nephew, David Fenton's mission, YWAM, Youth With A Mission.
