It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Eickhoff of Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin John and Cecilia Emma Eickhoff (Becker); his siblings, James, Norman and Mary Jean Pinkelman; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Eickhoff, Susan Eickhoff and Gary Pinkelman.

He is survived by: his siblings, Roland Eickhoff of Kearney, Sidney Eickhoff of Centerville, VA, Mark Eickhoff (Carol) of Westerville, OH, Bill (Julie), Larry (Catherine) of Sioux Falls, SD and Judy Pinkelman of Hartington; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Eickhoff of Hartington, Daisy Eickhoff of Westfield, IN and Rodney Pinkelman. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

“I remember my Uncle David quite fondly. When I was a student at Wayne State College in the 1980s, he was always good for a ride up to the farm or down to Omaha. I lived in Morey Hall and the first time he came to pick me up, he came into the dorm and was immediately recognized by Mom Welte, the dorm director for 30 years. She recognized him and had apparently banned him from the dorm when he was a student at Wayne in the 1970s. He never told me why she banned him, but he would just smile.”
