He was predeceased by: his parents, John O Simpson and Agnes J Simpson (Rasmussen); his siblings-in-law, Laverne "Snooks" and Coralie Heller (Younker); his sister Mildred Buffington (Simpson); his daughter-in-law Trixie Simpson (Kay); and his brother Harold Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Younker; his son John (Sandi Mathis) of Yankton, SD; his sister-in-law Cathy Handke of Camdenton, MO; and his sibling's children, Brian Handke (Sherri) of Linn Creek, MO and Julie Ann Tuttle of Guttenberg, IA. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
