He is survived by: his wife Betty McDonald of Yankton; his children, Leo McDonald (Michelle) of Mint Hill, NC, Donna Arens (Jim) of Yankton, Carol Hohenthaner (Rich Andre) of Yankton, Bill McDonald (Karla) of Yankton and Karen Ritter (Shawn Sawyer) of Norfolk, NE; his grandchildren, Maggie McDonald, Heath Arens (Cara), Jaclyn Hlas (Will), Jake Hohenthaner (Chelsee), Alex Hohenthaner (Megan), Neil Hohenthaner (Elly Miiller), Sarah Albers (Chase), Haley Wilnerd (Travis), Shannon McDonald, Heather Christensen (Eric), Kyla Hurlbert (Lucas), MacKenzie Knight (Kurt) and Jack Ritter; his siblings, Elaine Heirigs of Yankton, Duane McDonald of Yankton, Darrell McDonald (Helen) of Irene, Mary Kay Drotzmann (Harold) of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Jerrold McDonald (Vicki) of Irene; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Mach of St. Paul, MN. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
