Linda Kluthe wrote a sympathy message

“My sympathy to the family of Mr. Metz. I graduated from Parkston High School in 1969, where I knew Duane as an excellent teacher, who was always organized, conscientious, prepared, and knowledgeable. I enjoyed his classes and learned a great deal from him. I also remember his enjoyment of visiting with his fellow teachers and his laughter when he was with them. He was a dedicated teacher, May God reward him in heaven for all his years of service. Mrs. Linda Kurtenbach Kluthe”
