With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel M. Goeden of Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on April 7, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Christian Christensen and Alta Christensen (Hackett); her husband Joe; and her son-in-law Dennis Shepherd. She is survived by : her former life partner Joseph F. Goeden; her children, Diana, Kent and Raymond; her grandson Keith; and her family, Diana Shepherd (late Dennis) of Oacoma, Kent Goeden (Ruby) of Yankton and Raymond Goeden (Barb) of Mission Hill.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory (601 W 21st St, Yankton, SD 57078). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (1500 St Benedict Dr, Yankton, SD 57078). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery North Douglas (509 Capital St, Yankton, SD 57078).
