She was predeceased by : her parents, Bill Hajek and Clara Hajek (Humpal); her husband Wes; and her siblings, Maybell and Howard.

She is survived by : her daughter Melissa (Kevin Kolda); her grandchildren, Madison and Mason Kolda; and her sister-in-law Mary Hajek.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory (601 W 21st St, Yankton, SD 57078). A wake was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (1500 St Benedict Dr, Yankton, SD 57078). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery North Douglas (509 Capital St, Yankton, SD 57078).
