He is survived by: his wife Clare Smith of Yankton; his sons, Brian Smith (Rosa) of Gillette, Wyoming, Kevin Smith (Becky) of Bellingham, Washington and Jason Smith (Stephanie Bayer) of Yankton; his grandchildren, Shaela, Morgan, Cord, Jahna, Brody and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Niko, Luka, Julian and Koda; his sister Sandra Ryken (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Karen and Jerry Erstgaard (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
