He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Zimmerman and Cresentia Zimmerman (Schroeder); his daughter Kayleen Kaiser; his daughter-in-law Sheila Zimmerman; his sister Mary Jean Kleinschmit; and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Eickhoff and Don Kleinschmit.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Zimmerman of Yankton; his sons, Harold Zimmerman (Rhonda) of St. Helena, Nebraska, Duane Zimmerman (Nancy) of Yankton, Steve Zimmerman of Yankton, Mark Zimmerman (Kristi) of Yankton, Gary Zimmerman (Grace) of Tabor and Philip Zimmerman (Ann) of Norfolk, Nebraska; his son-in-law Kelly Kaiser of Fordyce, Nebraska; and his siblings, Della Rae Eickhoff of Fordyce, Don Zimmerman (Anna Mae) of Tyndall and Joe Zimmerman (Shirley) of St. Helena. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
