She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lauer and Susan Lauer (Kleinschmit); her husband Francis Wiepen; her great grandchild Aria Mae Miles; her siblings, Lillian Kathol (Rudy), Donald Lauer (Elsie), Frederick and Grace Lauer; her brother-in-law Robert; and her pet Schmidt.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michael Wieseler, Scott Wieseler, Nicholas Peitz, John Peitz, Chris Poole, Don Poole, Jacob Wiepen, Mathew Heimes, Danielle Thacker, Denise McCaune, Valerie Woodward, Cheryl Norris, Jessica Humphrey, Tristin Miles, Anna Wiepen, Kari Wieseler, Jennifer Kauffman, Samantha Wieseler, Jackie Genzlinger, Dana Huether, Delana Mach and Denae Mach; her children, Carol Poole (Dan) of Honey Creek, IA, Nancy Peitz (Bruce) of Fordyce, NE, Kevin Wiepen (Lisa) of Yankton, Janet Wieseler (Mike) of Tyndall, SD, Peggy Mach (Bryce) of Viborg, SD and David Wiepen of Stanton, NE; and her siblings, Larry Lauer (Kathy) of Hartington, Darlene Schmidt of Hartington and Donna Adam (Steve) of Tabor, SD. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (108 E 9th St, St Helena, NE 68774). A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
