He was predeceased by: his parents, Donley Herron and Joyce Herron (Windedahl); and his brother Paul Herron. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Herron of Yankton; his children, Becky O'Neill (Jaimie) of Sioux Falls, SD, Matthew Herron (Leah) of Spencer, IA and Megan Berry (Jon) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Dominic O'Neill (Kenzie), Makayla O'Neill, Caiden, Jacek, Blakeley Herron, Will and Nicole Berry; and his great grandchildren, Demetra and Azalea O'Neill.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Discovery Church (205 W 3rd St, Yankton, SD 57078).
