He was predeceased by: his adoptive parent Neils (Etta Sorensen); and his brother Louis "Chip" Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Susan Brewer; his children, Jennifer Brewer, James and Joshua Brewer; his brothers, Jeff and Bill Brewer; his sister-in-law Kathy Brewer; and his stepsons, Joseph and Christopher Newton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
