He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hladky and Emily Hladky (Pokorney); and his brothers, Lyle, Robert and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hladky of Yankton; and his children, Cindy Kokesh of Yankton and Thomas Hladky (Viki) of Trinidad, Colorado. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
