It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leander Henry Havermann (Yankton, South Dakota), who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Havermann and Gertrude Havermann (Albrecht); his former wife Karen Novak; his siblings, Norbert, Ed, Ray Havermann, Mary Weinandt and Rita Hoesing; and his grandchildren, Hanna Havermann and Lincoln Hilt.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Pietz; his children, Angela Suing (Joe), Joseph Havermann (Brittany Foreng), Julia Havermann (Alfred Mutua), Dan Havermann, Cynthia Novak (Brandon), David Havermann, Angie Mensch and Amber Havermann; and his siblings, Anita Gentrup and David Havermann. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
