She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Slade; her parents, Wilbur Liston and Winifred Liston; her parents-in-law, Willard and Sylvia Slade; her siblings-in-law, Jim Johnson, Robert, Betty Slade, Edward and Arlene Begeman; her daughter-in-law Patsy Slade; and her nephew Don Begeman.

She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Slade (Brenda) of Yankton, Randy Slade (Donna) of Rock Rapids, IA, Scott Slade (Mary Ann) of Elkins, AR and Jeffrey Slade of Rock Rapids, IA; her sister Jean Johnson (Liston) of Tabor, SD; her grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Samantha, Lennon (Alyssa), Luke (Brittany) and Joe; her great grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Tristan, Josie, Remi and Emma; and her nieces and nephews, Diane Johnson, Jill Todd (Daris), Lori Krier (Dan), Tim Begeman and Jerry Slade (Linda).
