She was predeceased by: her parents, Theophil Bitterman and Minnie Bitterman (Renner); her sisters, Wilhelmina and Darlene; and her brothers-in-law, Marlin Buchman, Maynard Schmidt and Ernest Hieb.
She is survived by: her children, Denise (Scott), Mostek (Caitlyn) of Wayne, NE, Jason (Tara), Streyle (Katelynn) of Alcester, SD and James (Jalynne); and her siblings, Delores Schmidt of Mitchell, SD, Betty Hieb of Sioux Falls, SD and Dennis Bitterman (Mary Lou Hoff) of Tripp, SD. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zion Reformed Church (220 S Pine St, Menno, SD 57045). A prayer was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 7:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Delmont City Cemetery.
