He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Margaret (Swanson); his sister Corrine; his brothers-in-law, Hudge Nelson and Dennis Christensen; his former wife Dorothy Nielson; and his friend Elsie Holsether.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Gooby (Chip) of Yankton, Steve (Colleen) of Irene, SD, Stanley (Lyn), Corey (Brenda) of Maricopa, AZ and Todd (Bev) of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister Shirley Christensen of Yankton; and his friend Carol Munkvold of Viborg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
