He is survived by: his wife Dot Schaefer of Yankton; his children, Brad Schaefer of Minneapolis, MN and Shelly Schaefer of Sioux Falls; his granddaughter Olivia Schaefer of Minneapolis; and his siblings, Rita Law of Sioux Falls, Vince Schaefer (Phyllis) of Lake Madison, SD, Joan Cramer (Mick) of Chester, SD, Virgil Schaefer (Marlys) of Colton, SD and Don Schaefer (Denise) of Sioux Falls.
