Phyllis J. Karolevitz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis J. Karolevitz of Yankton, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Phyllis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Phyllis farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bob; and her grandson Samuel Robert Garrity. She is survived by: her daughters, Jan (Patrick Garrity) of Anacortes, WA and Jill Karolevitz (Pete Peterson). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Robert and Phyllis Karolevitz Scholarship Fund at Sacred Heart School, Yankton, the Robert and Phyllis Karolevitz Journalism Scholarship at South Dakota State University, the South Dakota State Historical Society, Pierre, or Heartland Humane Society, Yankton.
