It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Long of Yankton, South Dakota, born in Viborg, South Dakota, who passed away on August 30, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Long and Marion Long (Sorensen); his wife Janis J. Benson; his grandchildren, Brian Nielsen and Caitlin Kirschenman; his brother Ronald Long; and his close friend Harley Christensen.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Long of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie Nielsen (Mark) of Yankton and Jane Grant (Dan) of Yankton; his grandchildren, Jeremy Kirschenman (Misty), Matthew Kirschenman, Noah Burns (Emily Kimball), Adam Nielsen, Amanda Christie (Joshua), Alexis Grant (Jon Riibe), Dylan Grant, Gabe Grant and Celeste Smith; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Tory, Levi, Lyla, William, Emma, Mark and Abigail; and his sister Ardyce Weeg of Litchfield Park, AZ..
