He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Johnson; his son Gene Johnson; his parents, Dorothy Johnson and Louis Johnson; and his sister Kay Westling (Johnson).
He is survived by: his significant other Janet Hoff of Vermillion, SD; his children, Mike Johnson (Laurie) of Sioux Falls, SD and Karen Kruml (John) of Union, KY; and his siblings, Rita Farley (Johnson) of Austin, TX and James Johnson of Williston, ND. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
