He was predeceased by : his parents, John Petty and Maggie Brewer Surratt; his son Anthony Surratt; his siblings, Weldon Surratt, Nelda Butler, Hilma Harrison and Nadine Surratt; and his grandson Josh Surratt.
He is survived by : his wife Betty Surratt of Mason, Tennessee; and his son Lynn Surratt (Connie) of Jackson, Tennessee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and family consider making a donation to St. Jude Hospital.
