He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Kirk; his parent Luda; and his brother Dahl Kirk. He is survived by: his children, Angie, Keith Fortner, Richard, Sherry Kirk, Diana and Bobby "James" Parker; his grandchildren, Megan Thornburg, Danielle Thornburg, Jacob Fortner, Erin, Casey Broyles, Katelin, Tyler Bledsoe, Tiffany Johnson and Kayden Parker; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Callie, Haven, Piper, Jordan and James; his sister Norma Jean Brown; his sister-in-law Judy Thornburg (Juanita Kirk); and also, James and Patsy Sexton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Jeffers Funeral Home (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616).
