He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bergeron and Emma Waterstratt; and his siblings, Harry, Vernon, Louis, Paul, Marlene and Ken.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Walker (Jamie) of Limestone, Frank Banks (Becky) of Limestone, Kathy Miller (Jason) of Jonesborough and Richard Banks (Anna) of Chuckey; his grandchildren, Ben McDowell, Josh McDowell, Jessica Holsclaw, Sean Banks, Ethan Banks, Emma Banks and Brndon Banks; his great grandchildren, Isabella Banks and Cooper Banks; and his caregiver Morgan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:45 PM. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (215 Heroes Dr, Johnson City, TN 37604).
