George Bowers Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 77, George Bowers (Afton, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Denver Bowers (Adelee); and his brothers, James Bowers, Tommy Bowers and Ralph Bowers (Brenda). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bowers; his daughters, Penny Babb (Scott Holly) and Beth McAfee (Donald); his grandchildren, Dustin Barr (Savannah), Ryan Babb (Sarah) and Breanna Kent (Levi); his great grandchild McKenna Barr (Little Britches); his stepgrandchildren, Paul Holly and Nila Holly; his siblings, Richard Bowers (Dessie), Bob Bowers (Debbie), Helen Davenport, Nellie Phillips (Claude), Patsy Bishop (Arnold), Ann Lamons (Fred), Gracie Grubbs (Jack) and Dorthy Shaw (Marvin); and his great grandchild Maggie Kent. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
