He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Hoard; and his parents, Leonard Hoard and Cora Hoard. He is survived by: his brother Ronnie Hoard (Kathy); his children, Tabatha Franklin (Steven), Michael Hoard Jr. (Tracy), Makayla (Jonah Lamons), Terry (Daniel Willis), Megan Lamons (Jordan) and Tashina Moorman (Nate); and his grandchildren, Emmaline, Melayne, Steven Jr., Michael III, Elijah, Abigail, Xavier, Renesmee, Cora-Lynn and Sophia.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jeffers Funeral Home (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hardins Chapel Church (3320 Baileyton Rd, Greeneville, TN 37745).
