It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Joe Mooney of Alamo, Tennessee, who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Mooney and Rena Flatt Mooney; his wife Dorothy Tucker Mooney; and his siblings, Ruby Bonnin, Eual Mooney, Richard Mooney, James Mooney, Ilene Turner, Odell Mooney, Patricia Waddle and Reba Lynn Bradley.
He is survived by: his son Bruce Mooney; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kamron, Karson, Kayson, Samuel, Kayden and Taylor; and his sisters, Reba Nell Taylor, Nancy Barrett and Barbara Mosier. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
