With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mayo Jones of Alamo, Tennessee, who passed away on February 19, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Mayo and Aileene Mayo of Alamo; and her brother Robert Mayo of Iuka, Mississippi.. She is survived by: her significant other Ralph Jones; her sisters, Frances Sexton (Paul) of Canton, Georgia and Helen Conley (Claude) of Jackson, Tennessee.; her nieces and nephews, Steve Mayo, John Sexton, Bob Mayo, Paul Mayo, Rock Mayo, Alexis Mayo, Sherry Mayo and Lori Mayo; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Luke Sexton, Eli Sexton, Rachel Sexton, Benjamin Sexton, Jacob Mayo, Alexis Mayo, Dalton Mayo, Tylynn Carlton, River Mayo, Ryder Mayo, Kinsey Newton, Kara, Kelsey, Kailey and Aaron.
Dorothy was faithful member of the Church of Christ and she and Ralph continued to worship at home in the years after the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Maury City Church of Christ at 6792 TN-88 Friendship, TN. 38034 or the Nunn Family Cemetery.
