He was predeceased by: his son Danny Sweat; his parents, John Carol "JC" Sweat and Dannie Marie Whittemore Sweat; and his brother Terry Sweat. He is survived by: his children, Dana Sweat, Felisha Sipes and Shane Sipes; his siblings, Robert Sweat (Jane), David Sweat, Dan Sweat (Beth), Becky Forsythe, Kathy White (Darrell) and Peggy Jones; his grandchildren, Sef Dorta, Kimber Naugle, Kynslee Naugle, Harleigh Naugle, Lakeland Naugle, Mason Naugle, Ryne Naugle, Zander Miles, Zekiel Sweat, Zayden Sweat, Chloe Sipes, Emily Sipes, Evan Sipes and Elijah Sweat; and his great grandchildren, Atreus Dorta and Mateo Miles.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home (1280 S Dupree St, Brownsville, TN 38012).
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
