She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Reid, Sr. and Lula Mae Reid; her husband Luther Waters, Sr.; her children, Curtis Waters and Linda G. Cole; her siblings, Emmett Reid, Jr., Ben Reid, Virginia Jones, Billy Reid, Helen Reid and Glen Reid; and her grandchildren, Dyron Waters and Sandra McElveen.
She is survived by: her sisters, Keisha Tucker (Reid), Ann Reid, Dorothy Reid and Willie Mae Taylor; her sons, Luther Waters, Jr., Walter L. Waters (Theresa) and Karl M. Waters (Cathy); and her grandchildren, Maurice Jackson, Sr., Alicia Waters, Jessica Waters, Luther Waters III, Latisha Waters, Garrett Waters, Jarryd Cole (Trisha), Jasmin Cole, Rasheed Waters, Montsho Waters (Margarita), Jumaan Waters, Simone Waters, Kayla Waters and Cecilia McElveen. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens (3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
