She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Raymond and Lucille Josephine Brown; her brother Clarence Wesley; her former husband James David, Jr.; and her in-laws, Andy and Pearl Carr.
She is survived by: her brother Benjamin Washington Brown; her husband J. D.; her daughter Rochelle Carr; her grandson Connor Carr; her granddaughter-in-law Eve Carr; her great grandchildren, James and Greyson Carr; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Clowney and Patricia Watkins (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A reception will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
