She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Barry and MoDean Davis Barry; her husband John Allen Newbell; her siblings, Kerry Allen Newbell, JC (Robbie Crawford) and James "Dee" (Jean Newbell); and her nephews, Jerry Crawford and Bob Newbell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Talley (Ross) and Kristi Sullivan (Ricky); her grandchildren, Brad Talley, Ashley Bjork (Brian), Dillon Sullivan and Jason Sullivan (Janna); and her great grandchildren, Connor Talley, Grayson, Caroline Bjork, Miller and Harlan Sullivan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Avant Funeral Home (109 High St, Alexandria, TN 37012). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vanatta Cemetery Fund.
