He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert A. Pettit; and his brother Robert James Pettit. He is survived by: his mother Carolynne Pettit; and his siblings, Kenneth Richard Pettit (Tina), Kathy A. Pettit (Allen), Cherlynne L. Franklin (Chuck) and Stacy Jeffries. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
