He was predeceased by: his son William C. Edwards II. He is survived by: his wife Joyce McDowell Edwards; his son Mark Edwards (Lisa) of Cleveland, TN; his grandchildren, Taylor Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Lauren Freeman (Anthony), Austin Edwards and Josh Edwards; and his siblings, Joann Yates, Ringgold, Judy Guerrant (Rich) of Covington, TN, Gene Edwards (Judy) and James Roy Edwards (Jane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens (5351 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343).
