He was predeceased by: his parents, Parlin Edgar Hamlin, Sr. and Opal Inez Avery Hamlin; his wife Shelby Hamlin; and his brother-in-law Joe O'Malley. He is survived by: his children, Paul Hamlin (Pat), Robert Hamlin (Tamara) and Vanessa Kanzler (Chris); his sisters, Jerris O'Malley and Pamella Tidwell; his grandchildren, Marc Hamlin (Nicole), Dalton Hamlin, Dason Hamlin, Densley Hamlin, Austin Kanzler, Jackson Kanzler and Carson Kanzler; his great grandchildren, Tyler Hamlin and Benjamin Hamlin; and his close friend Faye Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Union Hill Baptist Church (25368 Union Hill Rd, Ardmore, TN 38449).
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to Union Hill Baptist Church in Ardmore, Tennessee in honor of Mr. Hamlin.
