It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Barton of Ardmore, Tennessee, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Shirley may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Solomon and Lola Dunnavant. She is survived by: her children, Joey Barton of Ardmore and Lynn Barton of Dandridge; her grandchildren, Tyler Barton, Josh Newton (Monica) and Carrie Hodge (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Anthony, Luke and Sophia. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carr and Erwin Funeral Home (1228 E College St, Pulaski, TN 38478). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
