She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Eddley Maples and Willie Mae Gibson Maples; her husband Herbert C. Allen, Sr.; her son Herbert C. Allen, Jr.; and her brothers, John Maples and Larry Hodges.
She is survived by: her siblings, Charlene McGallagher and Edward Entrekin; and her children, Sharon K. Harris, Cathy Marie Edwards (Steve), Christine A. Evans (Eric), David F. Allen and Jim Huffman (Kim). She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Crossroads Pentecostal Cemetery (155 Bill Holland Dr, Lucedale, MS 39452).
