He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Simpkins and Talmadge Simpkins; his daughter Barbara Jane Morgan; and his granddaughter Sophia Langford. He is survived by: his children, Gary Warren Simpkins (Fe), Steven Lee Simpkins, Jeffery Dean Simpkins and Linda Gayle Moore; his son-in-law Don Morgan; his grandchildren, Chris Hensley (Janan), Kevin Hensley (Ashley), Eric Simpkins (Sara), Shirley Langford (Wayne), Daniel Simpkins, Catie Simpkins, Tammy Morgan, Timmy Morgan, Ralph Morgan, Ronnie Morgan and Robert Morgan; and his great grandchildren, Jack Hensley, Charlie Hensley and Fiona Langford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (101 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Carney-Demonbreun Cemetery Carney Cemetery.
