He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Lee Bright and Jerome Buford Hanks, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, David Colin and William Taylor Hanks; and his siblings, Marsha Hanks Yates (Charles), Karen Hanks York (Larry) and Jerry Lynn Hanks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
