He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosie B. Phillips and Edward Lee Phillips; and his wife Teresa Ann Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Barnes and James Phillips; his grandsons, Jonthan Barnes (Shelby) and Jesse Phillips (Destiny); his siblings, Emmett Phillips (Cheryl), Dewey Wilhite, Clif Phillips (Lisa), Ed Phillips (Lisa), Mike Phillips, Sharon Covington (Bill) and Michelle Phillips; and his siblings' children, Kim Phillips and Thomas Phillips (David Hargrove). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Barnes Cemetery.
