We announce the death of Riley C Ray (Ashland City, Tennessee), who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Riley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Belle Tripp and Jess Tripp; his siblings, Leon Ray, Pete Ray, Peggy Balcom (Ralph), Ellen Henderson (Lee) and Gloria Dean Buie; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Moss Ray.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth Tripp (Faye) and Kathy Sims (Billy); his sons, Tim Ray (Christie), Kenny Ray (Karen) and Steve Ray (Cheri); his grandchildren, Tia Brown (Garry), Nicholas Ray (Brandi), Keely Ray, Brandon Ray (Megan), Jarrett Ray (Destinee), Chelsea Ray, Matt Blankenship (Jenny), Cale Blankenship, Olivia Blankenship and Gavin Carroll; and his great grandchildren, Xavier Kellum, Riddick Ray, Roxie Ray, Rosalee Ray, Sophia Ray, Brilee Ray, Dusty Rose Blankenship and Navy Laine Carroll.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ (2699 Old Clarksville Pike, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Hall.
