It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Williams Elliott of Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Bernice Williams had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Bernice Williams may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ellis and Ortha Ellen Brown Williams; her husband Hoyle Dickson Elliott; and her sister Laura Mae Huckabey (Donald Williams). She is survived by: her daughters, Tawana Hornaday (Larry) of Shelbyville, Tenn, Kevia Davis (Randy) of Englewood, Kamie Lee (Steve) of Campbellsville and Mimi Angel (Hector) of Cleveland; and her brother Gary Williams (Tenn) of Athens. She is also survived by Eight Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
