He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed F. Bohannon and Zora Lee Bohannon; his brother-in-law Milton Simpson; his cousin James E. Murphy; and his nephew Kelly Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Cantrell Bohannon of Athens; his sons, Mitchel Lee (Cindy Holliday Bohannon) and Tenn; his grandsons, Samuel Bohannon, Boaz Bohannon and Eli Holliday; his sister Judy Bohannon Simpson (Tenn) of Athens; his nieces, Jody Simpson Dake (Steve) and Jana Simpson Thomas Grose (Michael); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah, Jenny, Julia, Jamin Dake, Keljan, Kenton, Janelle, Joelle and Kelsa Ana Thomas.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Clearwater Cemetery (964 Co Rd 180, Athens, TN 37303).
