It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Keylon of Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Roy and Beatrice "Bea" Haire Keylon; and his siblings, J. R. Keylon, Bill Frank Keylon, Tom Keylon and Betty Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Rae McDonald Keylon of Athens; his sons, Dak Keylon (Tammy) of Murfreesboro, Tenn and Jason Keylon (Summer) of Athens; his brother Bob Keylon (Tenn) of Chattanooga; and his grandchildren, Matthew (Liadan), Sienna and Sydney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home (521 N Jackson St, Athens, TN 37303). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
