With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eddie Thoreson of Athens, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2026 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Thoreson and Zita Thoreson; and his brother-in-law Chuck Tarr. He is survived by: his daughter Rachelle Eddington (Steve); his granddaughters, Jessica Watkins (Will) and Caitlyn McDaniel (Zach Womac); his stepgranddaughters, Kayla Thorton (Colby) and Rachael Johnson (Cody Sullender); his great grandchildren, Mason Watkins, MaKenzie Watkins, Sutton Womac, Will Thorton, Zeke Johnson and Millie Thorton; his sisters, Lillian Tarr of Illinois, Margaret Ard of Illinois and Dorothy Dean of Illinois; Susie Cooley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loved family and friends.
