He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Edd" Garrett and Mallie Belle Morrow Evans; his wife Linda Hogan Evans; his daughter-in-law Becky Evans; and his siblings, Jo Evans Burnette, Jane Evans Morrow, P. J. Evans and John Paul Evans.
He is survived by: his son Dan (Kim Evans); his siblings, Tobbie Walker (Dub), Tina Hogan (Jim) and Sheila Lovingood (Ray); his grandchildren, Cayci Leamon (Sean), Jaclyn Evans, Jake Evans (Brooke), Jacob Crockett and Zachary Crockett; and his great grandchildren, Eva Leamon, Zeke and Cat Tyndall Evans. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
