He is survived by: his children, Matthew Powell, Amanda Powell (Matthew "Tiny" Recht), Darrell Powell, Phillip Powell and Craig Powell; his grandchildren, Azilee Donna Powell, Brittany Tate, Phillip Tate, Leland Tate and Jase Recht; his siblings, Carol Kennedy, Elizabeth Boles, Diane "Sis", Jerry Powell, Michael Hill and Lloyd Powell; his friends, Jeremy and Ester Womack; and his former wife Sheila DeCost. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
